Johan Debruyne, Managing Partner of Xedis

Johan Debruyne, Managing Partner of Xedis, completed his studies as civil engineer in computer science at K.U. Leuven (1993) and achieved an additional Academic degree in Industrial Engineering at R.U.Gent (2002).
Johan started at BIM (BIM Engineering Europe) as networking and system engineer, integrating different management platforms and products. He designed and developed a management software (using SNMP-technology) on PABX-es for Siemens-ATEA and integrated these into SUNnet Manager, NetCortex and HP OpenView. As a developer, he used shell scripting, C-code and Prolog on different platforms and Operating Systems.
As a consultant at Manage-IT (DCC), he has participated in, and conducted multiple ICT automation projects, focussing both on the technical aspects and project management. Later on, he became manager and technical leader of a group of over 15 technical and non-technical consultants. His tasks covered technical solution guidance and implementation, project management, service provisioning including the supervision of a Help Desk (both for internal and external use). He remained technically skilled in systems and networking management domain, both as a certified consultant and trainer (HP OpenView certified teacher).
As a technical manager he has been active in infrastructure management, service management and project management. He has implemented technical solutions within processes based on ITIL and CMM standards (IT-Service
CMM)
in a Service Delivery environment. He was the lead advisor within many projects, advising architectures using HP OpenView to customers.
Johan's specific interest is overall technical design and implementation of project support infrastructure and processes, project planning processes and service delivery management processes. His focus is on aligning project objectives to business objectives, by making use of the appropriate tools.
