The IT Project Leader will be assigned to a variety of projects at our customers. We consider this Project Leader as a young potential, typically working under the supervision and protection of a more senior Project Manager. The Project Leader will manage (small / medium) infrastructure or application related projects.
While the specific tasks involved can vary from one project to another, the main activities will consist of the following:
• Taking day-to-day responsibility for discrete areas of work; delivery on time and within budget, meeting required quality standards and achieving customer satisfaction.
• Project planning, tracking and reporting to the senior Project Manager and the project sponsor(s).
• Definition of project scope and management of the changes to the scope throughout the project.
• Delegation of work to the team members and tracking progress to ensure it is in line with the project plan.
• Motivation of the team to deliver results while maintaining a high degree of team member satisfaction.
• Timely escalation of issues (both technical and project-related), their analysis and resolution.
• Management of dependencies with other projects.
• Continuous advice and support to customer management during the entire project life cycle.

Profile:
• Ideally having a degree related to ICT or equivalent through experience.
• As young potential, you possess a proven track record (minimum 2 years in ICT) of successful accomplishments within operational positions including a solid understanding of infrastructure or application building blocks.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in managing ICT projects as Project Leader.
• Certification such as PRINCE 2 Foundation, PMP is an asset but not necessary.
• Knowledge and/or certification of ITIL is also an asset.
• Knowledge of at least one project planning and tracking tool, such as MS-Project is welcome.
• Able to act as a “moderator” between Business & IT-technical teams and eager to learn fast about this.
• Understanding and ability to lead people and project activities. Eager to learn fast and acquire quickly more experience within this management field.
• Knowledge related to IT-technologies, IT-infrastructure, systems, servers, networks, databases, SAP, ERP-products etc… is an asset.
• Trilingual (English, Dutch and French).
• Potential for effective leadership and potential for strong coaching skills towards a group
• Team-Player but able to work individually (take the lead).
